Hird has sold an electric Valla mini crane to lift installation and lift removal specialists Liftout.

The company said it was impressed with Valla mini cranes because of the quality of their build and excellent performance.

Liftout has purchased a Valla 25EL DC pedestrian-controlled mini crane with an impressive safe working load of 2,250kg.

It will be used by the company, based in Romford, Essex, to fulfil contracts to work on escalators at airports around London.

Hird Sales Manager Carl Cooper said:

“We are delighted that Liftout selected a Valla mini crane for this work.

“Valla diesel and electric pick and carry cranes are becoming, more and more, the preferred choice for installation companies.

“The build quality, along with innovative, up-to-date features, on Valla mini cranes, means lifting companies can be confident they can be operated reliably and effectively over many years, so represent an excellent investment.”

Liftout selected the Valla 25EL DC mini crane because it is ideal for working inside buildings, and will be used to install and remove escalators in airport terminal buildings.

Its ultra-compact design means it requires a relatively small working space, so disruption to airport services will be kept to a minimum.

Mini cranes like this help eliminate manual handling risks and speed up lifting operations – two considerations that are increasingly important for machine moving clients.

Hird is the approved UK and Ireland distributor for Valla mini cranes, recently acquired by Manitex International, and provides complete sales and after sales support for the full range of pick and carry cranes available.

Valla mini cranes are available for hire and for sale. Hird provides a nationwide service from three operational centres, each with quick access to factory-trained mobile service engineers.
