Hird Sales has sold a Valla 25E pick and carry crane to KC Machine Movers after the company reviewed options and concluded Valla offered the best small mini crane on the market.
KC Machine Movers Operations Manager Graham Unsworth said they found the quality and performance of the Valla 25E was the best and they were confident of the service support Hird Sales would provide.
He added: “The build quality of the Valla 25E was the best we saw and it had the best useability, in terms of the wide variety of lifting and machinery moving tasks we need to carry out.
“The affordability of the mini crane was there and we also already have a good relationship with Hird and they’re well placed to provide us with good on-going service and maintenance support.
Valla cranes proving their worth
KC Machine Movers, based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, carries out machinery removal and installation projects across the UK and Europe in a wide range of sectors, including pharma, steel and forging and, increasingly, emerging industries like EV charging installation.

Zero-emissions power
KC Machine Movers already operates a Valla 120E mini crane, which has a maximum safe working load of 12t. It has now taken on the Valla 25E, which has a SWL of 2.5t, to support the dismantling and installation of smaller items of machinery.
The pick and carry crane has a maximum boom height of 4.8m (SWL – 1000kg) and a maximum working radius of 2.7m (SWL – 500kg). Its all-electric batter power provides zero-emission, low-noise working.
Travel functions are controlled with a tiller arm, while lifting is controlled with a cabled remote control unit. This allows the crane operator to stand in the optimum position to control the lift safely and productively.
KC Machine Movers has selected a Valla 25E with the optional manual fly jib to support lifting in particularly confined locations, with limited overhead space, and where extra reach is critical.
‘Endless’ lifting flexibility
At just 950mm wide and 2260mm long, the mini crane is extremely compact. It is also fitted with non-marking superelastic tyres, supporting both indoor and outdoor working.
As well as supporting machinery moving projects, the Valla 25E will be invaluable for KC Machine Moving’s engineering services teams, working on electrical and mechanical systems.
