With a pick and carry crane, such as Valla V110R, you can lock the rear steering axle, then by driving the crane forward or backwards – the crane will rotate and slew the load – sufficient for most slewing requirements. Proportional controls also provide precise and accurate manoeuvring
Whilst cranes with outriggers often have a dedicated slewing ring, they require a much greater footprint – anything up to 6 metres.
The Valla 110R has a compact footprint – it’s 2600mm from the centre of the front axle to the centre of the rear axle and just 1.5m wide.
